Learnmate is a cashless platform — payment is automatically processed from your linked credit or debit card 24 hours after each lesson. You'll be prompted to add a card when you sign up. Cash payments and direct transfers are not accepted.
Learnmate uses Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment providers (also used by Airbnb, Amazon, Shopify and Zoom), to securely process and store payment information. Learnmate does not store or have visibility over your payment details.
There are two ways to get started. You can click "Contact tutor" on any tutor's profile to message them directly — discuss your requirements, ask about their experience and availability, and if you'd like to proceed, ask them to schedule lessons. Alternatively, click "Request lesson" on a tutor's profile to submit your preferred day, time and tutoring requirements.
Once your tutor schedules a lesson, you'll receive a notification and it will appear in your Learnmate calendar. If you're looking for in-person lessons, use the location filter to find tutors in your area. For your first lesson, we recommend starting online to increase scheduling flexibility.
