We pride ourselves on maintaining a platform that enables tutors to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone in the Learnmate community that supports tutors to help deliver on student’s academic goals. Learnmate has various partnerships with key independent providers to ensure we meet and exceed recognised standards and training in the tutoring industry. And… we’ve been recognised in the industry for doing so.
The ATA aims to represent tutors and tutoring organisations, act as a lobby group to ensure students are provided the best possible service by ethical tutoring organisations, and to raise the standard of tutoring in Australia. In keeping with these principles, Learnmate is proud to be recognised by the ATA as a bronze accredited member.
You may notice some of our tutors have an ATA Trained badge on their profiles. This means they’ve completed Learnmate’s advanced tutor training course, which was created in association with the ATA.
Learnmate has partnered with Oho (weareoho.com) to verify and keep a constant watch on tutor’s Working with Children Checks (“WWCC”) and accreditations across Australia. Oho is a national digital verification platform which provides continuous real-time monitoring and validation of WWCC.
Tutors are required to hold and maintain WWCCs in Australia to work with students under 18. You can identify tutors who have provided their WWCC to Learnmate and been verified by the WWCC badge on their profile. For tutors without the badge, always ensure you speak to them about child safety and ask to see their WWCC.
Learnmate has been nominated for a number of awards in recognition of its work in recent years:
While we’re happy with the recognition received to date, there’s plenty of work left for us to do, and that we aspire to do, to make Learnmate the best it can be for its community.
