How the IB works.

The IB is an increasingly popular alternative to traditional Australian senior school curriculums like WACE. This program is recognised by most leading universities in Australia and around the world, making it the perfect choice for students who intend to study abroad after completing secondary school.

The IB consists of four educational programs:

Students must complete six subjects from four separate groups, including:

  • Two language subjects (the student’s own language, as well as an additional language)
  • A social science subject
  • An experimental science subject
  • Mathematics

For their sixth subject, students may choose to study either an arts subject or a second subject from the aforementioned groups.
