The ATA represents tutors and tutoring organisations and acts as an industry lobby group to:
In keeping with these principles, Learnmate is proud to be recognised by the ATA as a bronze accredited member.
We've also partnered with the ATA to provide an accredited advanced tutor training course for tutors. Tutors who have completed the training are awarded an ATA Trained badge on their profiles.
Learnmate has partnered with Oho to verify and keep a constant watch on tutor’s Working with Children Checks (WWCC) and accreditations across Australia. Oho is a national digital verification platform which provides real-time monitoring of WWCCs.
What this means for you.
Tutors are required to hold and maintain a WWCC in Australia to work with students under 18. Tutors who have a WWCC badge on their profile have been verified by Learnmate to hold a valid WWCC.
Always ensure you speak to tutors about child safety and ask to see their WWCC before tutoring beings with students under the age of 18.
