First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile!
I have over three years of experience tutoring more than 30 students of all age groups, most of whom completed or are continuing to complete their VCE studies.
I completed my year 12 studies at The MacRobertson Girls High School in 2015 with an ATAR of 96.35 and study scores of 42 in English Literature, 42 in History Revolutions and 44 in Visual Art. These were my absolute favourite subjects to study throughout VCE and I’m super excited and passionate to tutor them!
The texts I studied in Literature were A Doll’s House, Mrs Dalloway, Antony and Cleopatra and the poetry of Adrienne Rich, but throughout my three years’ experience of tutoring Literature and English I have covered numerous texts studied in Victoria and am always happy to learn more!
In Revolutions I studied the French and Russian revolutions.
For my art folio I explored various mediums including watercolour, gouache, charcoal and sculpting; and the artists I studied included Emily Floyd, Artemisia Gentileschi, Elizabeth Catlett Mora and Barbara Wulff.
I also hold a valid Working with Children Check.
I believe that VCE success lies in practice questions, papers and essays. My lessons would focus primarily on your needs as a student, tackling content you’re uncomfortable with and engaging you in areas that may seem less fascinating than others, but also drawing focus to the importance of practice questions and exactly how to go about answering them. The same applies to essays, emphasising the kind of language expected and how to use it effectively to achieve the best results.
Revolutions, Literature and Art require mastery of content and its application. I will be able to provide you with key tips regarding effective and long-lasting memorisation of content and vocabulary as well as the application of that knowledge. As my student you will have exclusive access to my own notes, as well as high-scoring practice responses from numerous exams and sacs.
I can promise that I will make lessons fun and highly enjoyable whilst maintaining a professional study environment. I am very approachable and encourage you to ask as many questions as you can think of, which I will do my utmost to answer. I am available 7 days a week via skype, mobile and email, here to support you throughout your VCE journey because remember, you are not alone!
Costs and Availability:
I am always flexible and will do my best to accommodate you in my schedule, please feel free to get in contact and we can arrange a time that is ideal for you!
I am happy to travel to most northern suburbs and am also happy to meet at Melbourne’s State Library on weekday afternoons.
As I have over three years’ experience tutoring and many happy, returning customers I charge $55 per hour for a one-on-one session and $30 per person for group sessions. However, I do understand that tutoring can be incredibly expensive at times and if required I am happy to negotiate this rate.
If you have made it this far, thank you so much again for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
