Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile.
In 2017, I attained a 48 study score for Business Management, a 41 study score for English and a 41 study score for Global Politics. It was my strong work ethic and smart study tactics that enabled me to achieve these results, and so, I want to help other VCE students develop these traits and achieve their goals.
As a recent VCE graduate, I know just how gruelling Year 12 can be. Feelings of stress and uncertainty stand in the way between a student and their dream ATAR. Although difficult to overcome, these obstacles are not impossible to defeat. In my sessions, I will focus on helping the student to develop a strong work ethic, to adopt healthy study habits and consolidating course content. I believe that this combination is the key to excelling in VCE, evidenced by my own VCE results, and therefore aim to set up my students for academic success by assisting them in perfecting this combination. This approach is ideal for younger students also, as they can be in prime position for VCE success when the time comes.
From Years 7-10, I offer tutoring in English, Literature, History and Business studies (I am majoring in History and English Literature at the University of Melbourne, and am therefore capable to tutor these subjects at these levels). For younger students, my sessions are less tailored to their assessments, and focus more on improvement in basic foundational skills. Some of the areas where I can help out include:
- Essay Writing
- Reading Comprehension
- Speeches/Oral Presentations
For VCE, I am familiar with the current study designs for 3/4 Business Management, 1-4 English and 3/4 Global Politics. I am capable in assisting students with any component of the study design. Some of the areas where I can help out include:
- SAC Preparation
- Exam Preparation
- Case Studies / Examples (for Business & Politics)
- Essay Writing (for English & Politics)
- Familiarisation of Texts (for English)
In addition to my tutoring sessions, I am always on hand via phone and email to answer any questions, help with homework or to give advice/tips. At no extra cost, I correct, critique and mark my student’s work/practise SACs/exams to ensure they are fully prepared and confident for their assessments. In addition, all of my students have FREE access to all my subject notes, exams and study resources.
I am located in Glenroy, however, I don’t mind travelling within a reasonable distance. State library or the University of Melbourne libraries are alternative locations where I can hold tutoring sessions. My availability is flexible, I am free seven days a week, from 8:30am to 8:00pm. I will try my best to fit you into my schedule.
I hold a valid Working with Children’s Check, and valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
I am only charging $40 per hour, with your first session completely FREE! Contact me today and take the first step towards your dream ATAR!
