My name is Jorja and I am a recent 2020 school leaver who achieved an ATAR of 95.90 (Penrhos College), and am hoping to pursue studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy (honours) in 2021. I am a mature, kind-hearted and empathetic individual who is passionate about helping other students to achieve their personal best, whatever that may be for them.
I believe that the best approach to study is exposure, experience and practice, emphasising a hands-on approach to studying for assessments. I aim to help all students and provide them with the skills and techniques to approach assessments with confidence. I offer both online and in-person tutoring and can help you better understand topics, help you with practice questions or assignments, as well as assist in any other way possible to help you in the best way. I can provide students not only with knowledge and guidance, but also study skills/techniques, practice questions and resources, note taking advice, organisational skills, as well as motivation.
I have a hardworking, organisation focused and dedicated personality which I not only instil into my studies, but also carry into all areas of my life, approaching tasks no matter what they may entail with this attitude. Over my high school experience, I gained skills and techniques which have set me up to tackle my future endeavours, which I hope to extend to other students as well.
Having only recently graduated from high school, I understand the stresses and pressures which the grind of specifically year 11 and 12 has on students. I can empathise not only with the academic stresses, but also the worries that go along with this journey. I aim to adapt to each students unique needs and study preferences to help guide them in the best way that suits them personally since we are all individual and learn via a range of methods.
I believe that my role as a tutor is not only to assist and help students in areas which they struggle with, but also to provide support and motivation for them to keep going and to believe in themselves when times seem impossibly difficult. I have developed a methodical, organised and expansive range of study and organisation techniques which I can offer to help students make the most of their high school experience, as well as give them techniques to destress and keep focused. I know the following courses listed below in depth not only in terms of their content/knowledge but also know what to expect when it comes to the exams and how to best approach assessments in the specialised area.
