ABOUT ME & QUALIFICATIONS
Hi guys, my name is David Ding. I live in Doncaster and I’ve recently graduated from Melbourne High School with an ATAR of 96.95 and a score of 45 for Methods (raw score of 40) and 43 for Accounting (raw of 42). Before mid year exams even started, I discovered my passion for working with other people and the joy of passing on knowledge and experience (and hopefully wisdom, the three are all different in various aspects)
Mission Statement: “To empower students to be able to effectively conquer VCE proactively and establish independence through obtaining good habits and methods, promoting self-management and fostering a deep desire to perform well for the subject, as well as setting a solid foundation for what lies ahead.”
Approach and Model in Maths Methods
Personally, I have been exposed to many tutoring models in Maths Methods, as well as many philosophies in approaching the year.
I am a strong advocator of the fact that different students, subjects and teachers have different methods of study, however the timeless methods of “preview, learn, study, practice, review, test” has worked for mathematics for decades; and I implement the broad structure in most of my lessons.
I believe that the key to succeeding in this cesspool of competition is to engage the subject proactively, work through mistakes constructively and to manage your time wisely. In harmony, these ingredients can easily make your talents shine in any subject but especially maths, where there is little room for subjective error.
I am well versed with the current curriculum; and I possess a great deal of resources both from external sources and from self created notes.

Finally, never be afraid of failure; only concern yourself with the failure to improve.
