ABOUT ME

My name is Danica (Da-Knee-Ca), and I’m a second-year university student at UWA. I am studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and majoring in Pharmacology and Microbiology and Immunology, with hopes to pursue postgraduate medicine. I graduated year 12 in 2019 in Tasmania, a year after my peers, as I had done an exchange to Italy after year 10 in 2017.

I am not one of those naturally smart people, so I pride myself on my hard work and refined study strategies to achieve the results I want. My current GPA is 6.714, and I maintain HD’s in all science-related classes and those I wish to tutor. I have immense passion for how the body works, how things interact with our bodies and how everything can link together. My intention as a tutor is to support you with as many resources as I can provide and to see you reach and exceed your goals.

My approach to tutoring is to discover your best way to learn, and use your strengths to develop a stress free and dynamic way to study. I believe that studying to understand and learn if far better than memorising solely for an exam, and I believe it can be fun! (Crazy right??!)

I understand the stress and anxiety that studying can bring, especially if there is a concept that you just can’t seem to grasp. I endeavour to tutor students with empathy, patience and humility and to create a safe place for questions and feedback.

I can offer tutoring both online and in-person, to suit your needs, and around my university schedule.

LOCATION, COSTS AND AVAILABILITY

I can travel within a 20km radius of Perth CBD, arrange sessions at a UWA library or offer online sessions.

I will do my best to accomodate your needs around my university schedule, which is relatively flexible.

My prices per hour are:

• Online session- $45
• Individual- $50
• Groups of 2- $35
• Groups of 3- $30

I can also offer support via text 24/7.
