Hi, my name is Alex, I am nineteen-years-old and I am studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in media, technology and the law and a Bachelor of Media and Communications majoring in journalism and non-fiction writing at Macquarie University. I was a high achiever at school and during the HSC, earning a band 6 in Legal Studies, English Advanced, Modern History and Drama with an overall ATAR of 96.70. I also achieved an overall academic mastery award in both year 11 and year 12.
I fully understand the importance of hard-work and at home reinforcement of content towards achieving academic success in the NSW HSC, but it I also recognise that an extra, personalised helping-hand can be excellent support during this time. I aim to be that help and can assist in developing study habits, going through difficult content, providing feedback to written work and (with the help of the appropriate assessment rubrics) mark practice exams. Above all, I will adapt and cater to my student’s needs to ensure they can personally achieve the best possible outcomes for them, recognising that we all learn and grow academically at a different pace.
Sessions will be flexible and individualised based on the needs of the student.
I specialise in humanities and arts subjects (see list for my specific range) as not only was my HSC built entirely of these kinds of subjects, but it is the focus of my studies at university. It is because of this I have a thorough understanding of curriculum of these subjects as well as the right tools to teach the effective written techniques central to these subjects.
Thank you so much for checking out my profile and I hope to be in contact with you soon.
