Upload your Learnmate profile

To submit your profile to Learnmate, please fill out the form below and, subject to receiving all relevant information from you, we will seek to upload it within 2 business days.

We encourage you to write a profile that is as compelling as possible for students to set you apart from other tutors in your field. Your profile is the most important selling tool you have and may be the difference between receiving many or few enquiries from students and parents. Flexibility in availability, subjects, year level and method of teaching (i.e. where in-person and online) will broaden your suitability for students, and anything additional that will make you stand out to students should be noted. This is a numbers game; the more students you can connect with and are suitable for (be it timing, subject, year level, location or price), the sooner you will be on your way to helping students on their learning journey with Learnmate.

If you haven't obtained a WWCC in your state, then you must obtain one per the instructions here, and come back to this page once you have the number.
To work or volunteer in education in South Australia, tutors must do mandatory notification training and you’re required to provide us with the details of completion. Once you have received your certificate, or if you already have one, you can provide the relevant information required by Learnmate by filling in the form here.
*
This is used to verify your WWCC serial number.
*
To become a tutor on Learnmate, you need to satisfy our minimum qualifications. If you have not done so or are unsure if you have, please see the instructions here.
*
Note: Learnmate will validate your teaching credentials per the previous question.
*
*
Note: You should only provide tuition in subjects or curriculums within your expertise, which you have a track record of excellence and experience. We recommend you select between 1-4 options below.

Only select the relevant curriculums/levels you are familiar with/have studied yourself (e.g. you completed VCE or IB or have tutored or taught VCE or IB students before, or, if you wish to provide tuition to primary schools students, that you are familiar with and are well prepared to teach the relevant primary school curriculum.)

A full list of subjects Learnmate tutors currently tutor in can be found here. If a subject isn't there, let us know.
COVID-19 has seen a strong adoption of and transition to online tutoring as people both (a) take extra caution in their interactions with people outside the home; and (b) become comfortable with how effective online tutoring can be as an alternative to in-person tutoring. We strongly suggest you opt to provide both online & in-person lessons for your advertised subjects. Learnmate provides comprehensive training on online tutoring in the online training course and how to make the most of and use Learnmate’s online learning platform effectively. See the online training course here.
Select the state where you will be tutoring, then answer the next question below on the suburb locations you want to tutor in.
To ensure you maximise your reach for potential students, we recommend you specify at least 5 - 10 suburbs in your profile within the radius that you are happy to travel to, but you can choose to list as few suburbs as you want. Note: These are not necessarily the suburb(s) that you live, study or work in, but the suburbs you are happy to service for in-person tutoring. You'll also have the opportunity below to elaborate on your location and travelling conditions.
*
Note: Special needs means you have some experience assisting students with special needs. Customers can 'toggle' this option when searching for a tutor (see an example here). We recommend you put your special needs experience/requirements in the following fields (your extended 'About Me' section below) to explain the type of tutoring you offer.
*
Note: This should be 30 words or less. It should be captivating and highlight what you do and why students should choose you over other tutors. You can see an example of how it would look here.
*
Note: This should be 200 words or less and should only contain information such as (1) a friendly greeting and introduction, (2) when you graduated school or obtained a teaching qualification, and (3) why you tutor and how you can help the student. You’ll be provided the opportunity in the next few questions to supply information relating to your qualifications, scores, locations, costs and availability. See an example here.
*
Note: This will be included in the ‘Qualifications & Scores’ section in your tutor profile in dot points (2 dot points per row). See an example here.
*
Note: This will be shown as a one-liner on the search results page. This should be a score or qualification that will allow you to stand out above the competition (such as ATAR, study score or tertiary qualification). See an example here.
*
Note: Group means with 2 or more students.
*
The hourly rate specified must be the rate charged to the customer inclusive of Learnmate's commission and you must not have any hidden fees. See Learnmate’s guide for help setting your hourly rate here. For further information, terms and conditions around setting or changing your hourly rate, please see Learnmate’s Tutor T&Cs here.
*
You are not required to make first lessons free. If you elect this option, it’ll appear in the search results page as an option you offer. See an example here. You can deactivate this at any time.
You may want to include conditions around the first lesson (i.e. costs may vary depending on the subject or year level, or the first lesson free must be no longer than an hour), or other conditions that a customer must know about your pricing (e.g. your pricing may vary by year level or subject). If nothing, leave blank.
*
1) If you wish to tutor in-person, please include the suburbs and locations where you will provide tutoring (or you may provide a maximum distance you're willing to travel), or if you wish to tutor online, please state that you tutor online on Learnmate's online learning platform (we do not allow Skype/Zoom). 2) Also specify the times and days when you're available to tutor. See an example here.
