All online tutoring lessons are conducted through our online learning platform. This platform was engineered by tutors, for tutors, to optimize the student learning environment. It is user-friendly and makes online tutoring as easy as face-to-face lessons. You can see our Getting Started guide here that explains how to use the software, how to troubleshoot issues and how to make the most of the interactive tools available.

  • In-built chat function: Instantly send messages and files throughout the duration of the lesson;
  • Whiteboard: Upload files / images onto your space and digitally annotate without having to switch between multiple tabs;
  • Document editing: Collaboratively work through problems, practice questions or marked assessments and assignments;
  • Automatic saving:  The platform automatically saves and stores your lesson whiteboard so that you can pick up from where you left off in the next lesson;

STUDENT SAFETY REGARDING ONLINE TUTORING

As online tutoring is more of a closed environment compared to in-person lessons, please follow the following safety protocols (which tutors are also required to follow):

  • If possible, ensure you and your tutor participate in lessons in a communal area (e.g. a living or lounge room) with a parent or legal guardian present, within sight or earshot of the lesson. Under no circumstances should tutoring take place in a child’s bedroom, even if online;
  • If possible, we recommend you do not use headphones and instead use your in-built speakers on loud so that a parent or legal guardian can supervise the lesson. However, if this causes technical difficulties, you may choose to use headphones if your parent or legal guardian is comfortable for you to do so.
  • For quality assurance, student safety and incident reporting purposes, all lessons are recorded and held securely. Only our administration team can access these recordings.
