Hey there! Cheers for stopping by and taking a look at my profile.
I am a qualified secondary teacher and have been successfully tutoring high school students since 2012 in English. My love for English has always been strong and after my school studies I went on to successfully complete my Communications degree at Deakin University, Majoring in Journalism. My goal is to always build confidence within my students and provide them with one-on-one guidance in helping them achieve their desired goal. I successfully achieve this by ensuring all lessons are tailored to suit their abilities and providing a personable, ‘open forum’ style experience.
I firmly believe that every student has the capabilities to achieve whatever result they desire. In my experience, my students have never lacked the intelligence, but rather, lacked confidence to apply their knowledge and abilities. I am passionate about helping students, whether that be to attain a high ATAR or improve their grades, learning goes beyond the classroom and I aim to instil positive learning habits that you can apply in all aspects of your life well beyond your secondary years.
In saying that, my past students have successfully gone on to enter into their desired university courses after achieving high English study scores. I am familiar with all areas of VCAA curriculum for English and can assist you in the following:
- SAC preparation
- In depth study guide of the texts
- Proofreading and editing
Tutoring with me does not end after our lesson. You are always welcome to email or contact me via mobile any day of the week, with any help you may need. I also provide FaceTime tutoring if you’re stuck or cannot make a lesson but still need the catch up. Furthermore, I always provide extensive notes to widen your knowledge and understanding of the current topic/s, as well as proofreading and providing feedback on practice essays to ensure we remain on track to reach your desired outcomes. Remember, your goals become my goals and I do my upmost to ensure I provide you with the practical tools to reach them.
I am based in the Richmond area, so you’re welcome to meet me at the local library, or alternatively I can meet you at a mutually convenient location. I am available 5 days per week, check out my tutoring schedule. I am flexible so if your desired time is not available, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I will always try to accommodate you and make it work.
