My name is Stephanie, and I’m currently a 2nd year medical student studying at Monash University! I tutor year 7-12 maths (methods and specialist for VCE), and I also help with UCAT preparation. I achieved a 99/100 for maths methods equivalent and 49/50 for specialist equivalent (HSC subjects), and my ATAR was 99.85.
When I tutor students, I make sure to address the concerns of my students first, and be clear and succinct when explaining a difficult concept. I also enjoy problem solving, which contributes to my passion for maths. I’m able to analyse a situation in a logical manner and select the best alternative to resolve an issue. Furthermore, I consider myself a creative and flexible person, so I believe I could work with a wide variety of students. A quality I consider to be very important as a tutor is my leadership skills. I am very responsible for my actions, meaning that I will ensure each tutoring session is effective for the student. I am also assertive, trustworthy and mindful, which helps me offer guidance to other students. Lastly, I like to keep an open mind, which allows me to adapt to different students.
I believe I can bring a unique point of view to my students, whilst also working towards our common goal — to improve and develop a love for learning!
I provide students with:
a great revision programme
practice questions and exams
phone and email support 7 days a week
I am very flexible with my time schedule, so we could arrange a time that suits us both!
