Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check my profile.
My name is Simon. I graduated in 2012 from Marques de Villena Secondary College, with an equivalent ATAR of 97.50. I finished my bachelor in Aerospace Engineering at Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) with an average grade of 85, majoring in Aircraft. I am currently in my 2nd year studying a Master of Aerospace Engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. My scores for the subjects I wish to tutor are as follows: Maths (100), Physics (100), Spanish (native speaker). You can check which courses and subjects I’m willing to teach in the web, including maths, further maths, methods, physics, Spanish and so on, from year 7 to year 12.
I have more than 4 years of experience in tutoring, so I have been improving my skills and approaches to students from different levels and with variable learning styles along the years. After teaching multiple students, I have noticed that the majority of them need a parallel method in order to get the desired knowledge. Therefore, my lessons are based in more practical, effective and professional techniques. Teaching them how to learn is my priority.
As a past, current and future student, I am aware of how stressful and challenging VCE can be. Hence, I’m here to provide as much support and help as possible to increase your self-confidence.
My tutoring lessons include tutorials, theoretical lectures, exam preparation, study techniques, time management and assessment preparation, providing all the resources and materials from my own experience. Sessions are personalized and adapted for each student with a high level of flexibility.
With my tutoring sessions, the learning does not stop when the lesson ends; I am willing to provide support, via email or phone, 7 days per week, in order to clarify any doubt or question.
I am located in the middle of the CBD, so I’m flexible with the locations. I’m willing to have sessions at the State Library, RMIT or any other place nearby the city centre. Students are welcome to come to me as well as I can travel to student’s homes or local libraries. (Additional cost depending on the distance, ask for details).
I hold a valid Driving License and Working with Children’s Check.
I am available 7 days per week. It is possible to check the times I am available to tutor you in the web: most of the afternoons and weekends. There won’t be any problem to accommodate you into my schedule.
I am only charging 40 $ per hour for a one-to-one tutoring session and 30 $ per hour for a group session, for all my subjects.
Thanks for reading. Don’t hesitate to get in contact and hope to start helping you achieving your dreamed results!
