I am a passionate and enthusiastic educator who strives to bring the best out of each of my students. In 2010 I graduated from the University of Wollongong with a B: Education-Physical and Health Education, with Distinction. During this time I was also presented with a Dean’s Merit award for maintaining a distinction average. I taught in multiple schools in the Illawarra and also in Central West NSW- this where I now reside and teach at a part-time capacity in a permanent position, at a local high school. I am a mother of 2 young daughters and currently work part-time so I can spend time raising my girls prior to beginning school.
As a teacher my strengths are building a strong rapport with my students, differentiation to cater to different students learning needs, abilities and learning styles, and providing timely and effective feedback. My approach to teaching is progressive and I continually strive to improve my practices so that I can boost student outcomes. My core subjects are PDHPE Years 7-12 and CAFS, PASS and SLR. I have also had experience teaching Science, English and Literacy/Study Skills all of which I am willing to tutor for Year 7-10 students.
As a tutor I will:
