I completed my tertiary education in the United States where I received my B.S. in Exercise Physiology Summa Cum Laude (The highest latin honours) in 2018. This degree included several courses in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and nutrition and metabolism. I was then awarded a graduate assistantship to pursue my masters in applied physiology at University of South Carolina while teaching undergraduate coursework in anatomy and physiology and conducting research in a biomedical science laboratory. During my time at USC I was also awarded travel grants to present research, an excellence in research scholarship, and had publications accepted into scientific journals. I graduated with my Master of Science in May 2020. Upon completion I was accepted into the National Institute of Health's physiological adaptations to stress training grant program at Pennsylvania State University. I worked in a molecular biology and biomedical physiology laboratory studying immunotherapies for heart disorders for almost two years before returning to Australia.
Throughout my years of graduate study and professional work I've developed a passion for working with students, and not just telling them information, but working with them to find exactly what they are struggling with and how best to go about working through a solution so that they fully understand the concept.
