Hi! Welcome to my profile.
I have a passion for education and am eager to share this with and inspire students to achieve their very best in their VCE studies!
In the year of 2019 I achieved an ATAR of 95.6 with a 41 in Legal studies and a 44 in Global politics at Cornish College. I have received the principals scholarship for Melbourne university as a result of my immense involvement in the school and broader community, as well as the title of 2019 DUX. I plan to either study a double degree in law and arts at Monash university or a degree in Arts at Melbourne university with the hopes of entering the law school in 2024. I believe that it is extremely important for students to receive extra support from those who have recently been through the VCE process and understand the exact requirements needed in order to be successful. Because of the recent nature of my time in VCE, I am able to provide students with accurate, relevant and clear material that will enable them to identify the exact skills that they need to acquire in order to perform at their best during school assessed coursework as well as during the final examinations.
Global Politics and Legal Studies are two subjects that I find incredibly important and am extremely passionate about. Because I understand the importance of the material, I know that the students I tutor will not only comprehend the content, but understand its deeper implications on a more global scale. Both these subjects are very content heavy and inherently challenging, which is a difficulty that I was able to overcome throughout the year by using specific studying habits and efficient methods of applying my knowledge to exam-style questions.
I have already participated in mentoring programs with younger high school students, providing them with the necessary support to help them navigate their academic responsibilities, but have also been thoroughly engaged with netball coaching and leadership teams over my high school experience, which has meant that I am incredibly capable at communicating and teaching others in order to achieve a desired outcome. Personally, I have been privy to the challenges that my brother has faced with his learning difficulties, but also understand first hand the need for capable students to be extended in order to fully realise their academic potential. With this understanding, I can adapt my teaching style to account for any stage that a student is at, and create a personable program that will be designed to suit their learning style and enable them to achieve their very best in their VCE journey.
