*****About me and qualifications*****
Hello! Thank you for considering me as your tutor!
My name is Noam and I’m currently a VCE Chemistry tutor, and have been tutoring students for one year.
I received a study score of 48 in VCE Chemistry in 2014 (ATAR of 91.50, Leibler Yavneh College) and I wish to pass on my knowledge and experiences to current students undertaking this great yet challenging subject.
Ensuring my students understand key concepts, equations, and ideas is crucial to me. This is achieved through patient understanding of my student’s needs, and a strong belief in my student that they can achieve great things! I have been through the arduous journey that is VCE, and am able to connect with a student to bring out their best!
Having spoken to students from 2014 to 2016 who have undertaken Chemistry, I understand the difficulties of the subject. Chemistry is a subject that relies on the building up of understanding previous material. My approach is to break down key concepts to simple building blocks, and to progress through the course and build up the tower of knowledge to raise you, the student, above the rest!
I am familiar with the new study design for Chemistry (Units 1/2 and units 3/4) and am confident I can be of great help!
Furthermore, my skills include:
-Tricky exam style questions
-FULLY answering questions
-Explaining relevance, and practical implications of ideas
All students will be able to contact me via phone or email outside of tutoring hours for any support they require with their studies. I am currently in the process of writing and progressively updating my own set of notes, which will be a collection of my own ideas on how best to teach this subject. As each becomes available, I will provide to my student to supplement our learning together, and maximise their learning potential!
In 2015 I commenced Science and Engineering (Honours) at Monash university. I will be specialising in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, and will have Chemistry as my Science major. I was accepted into the Advanced Chemistry subjects in 2015, and have maintained a High Distinction average. I have a particular interest in nanotechnology, and the role it has to play in the near future.

****Private and Group Tutoring Available!****
For private tuition will be $60 per hour, with the first session only $45!
In addition to that, I do provide tutoring for groups of 2-4 students. Our peers can often be our best teachers, and group learning encourages discussion of ideas and consolidation of understanding. These group sessions can be more interactive and definitely be more fun! For a group session, it will be $40 per hour per student.
In the event of a student having to cancel a lesson, I will be maintaining a 24 hour cancellation policy at my discretion.
