My name is Naveena. Currently, I am studying medicine at the University of Adelaide. I graduated from Hornsby Girls High School in 2017 with an ATAR of 99.35 and an “All-rounder” award for scoring Band 6 in all my subjects (English Advanced, English Extension, Maths Extension 1, Maths Extension 2, Economics, Chemistry). I’ve had experience as a private and group tutor and I have had a role as a content developer in a tutoring firm in Sydney.
I am passionate about education and enjoy working with kids. All throughout my life, I have experienced great success at school, and this is undoubtedly credited to the incredible teachers, who have helped me unlock both my academic and personal potential. This has underpinned my love and commitment towards helping students achieve their personal goals.
I strongly believe that with the right guidance, young minds can be molded to bring out their full potential. My top priority is to ensure that I tailor explanations and work for an individual student’s needs. I believe that this will not only help solidify understanding, but also instill interest in the subject, which will drive the student’s eagerness to study. Additionally, I am aware of the toll of academic and schooling pressures and am open to helping individuals through any difficulties they are having.
I am able to tutor the following subjects:
Primary School- Maths, English, Science
Year 7-10 – Maths, English, Chemistry
Year 11- English and Chemistry
