Hello, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University in the United States, where I earned my Bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry in 2008. While I was an undergraduate, I tutored year 1 and 2 university students in Chemistry, and was a teaching assistant for an undergraduate Biochemistry class for 2 years, where I was responsible for teaching recitation sessions, helping to put students in the best position to succeed. I also worked as an online tutor for Tutor.com, where I helped high school students and university students in chemistry, until I decided to relocate to Brisbane where I pursued further education, earning my Master’s degree in Molecular Biology in 2012.
As you can probably tell, I have a great passion for the subject of chemistry, as well as for teaching students and helping them realise their goals.
I am a strong believer that anyone can excel in Chemistry with a good attitude and effective support. My aim is to provide that support for students, giving them all the tools they need to achieve their goals, from breaking down concepts to first principles to helping them work through specific examples.
My top priority is to ensure that I cater to the needs of the student, while ensuring that the tutoring session is going to propel the student forward in their understanding of the material. I am a confident, friendly and enthusiastic tutor. With many years of professional tutoring experience, I have guided many students to higher marks in Chemistry.
I provide private one-on-one tutoring sessions, as well as online sessions. Depending on each student’s needs, sessions may be more lecture-oriented, building on conceptual foundations, or more problem-solving focused. Most sessions will include both. Students who have ongoing sessions with me also receive email support 7 days a week, with a 24 hour response guarantee.
I hold a valid Working with Children’s Check (Blue Card).

I am available for one-on-one sessions most evenings; we could discuss a time that is suitable for us both. For online sessions, my availability is quite flexible. I will do my utmost to accommodate your scheduling needs.
