Hi there! My name is Megwyn and I am currently a third-year law student at the University of Tasmania.
I graduated from Guilford Young College in 2017 as Dux of the College with an ATAR score of 98.65. Whilst studying at UTAS, I have also provided peer tutoring (as a PASS leader) to first-year sociology students; gaining valuable experience in a tutoring role and realising my love for teaching others!
I provide students with:
All resources they will need at no extra cost.
A study schedule that is catered to the student’s individual goals and commitments in order to keep them motivated.
Practice material (past exam papers and more!).
A revision program to ensure that they are well prepared and confident for exam periods.
Email support outside of scheduled tutoring sessions.
I am available to tutor in-person or online under ordinary circumstances, but given the current social-distancing rules, I am temporarily only tutoring online through Zoom.
I have always had a passion for humanities subjects and love to learn about the law, literature, history, and social sciences. I studied the following subjects in year 11 and 12 and am always eager to engage with them again, now in a tutoring capacity:
– Legal Studies Level 3 (Subject Score: 21 = EA)
– Modern History Level 3 (Subject Score: 21.6 = EA)
– Sociology Level 3 (Subject Score: 20.9 = EA)
– English Literature Level 3 (Subject Score: 24.3 = EA)
– Studies of Religion Level 3 (Subject Score: 21 = EA)
In addition to these TASC subjects, I tutor all Australian Curriculum English and History subjects for grades 1-10.
WHY I TUTOR:
I tutor because I have a passion for learning and am a strong believer that with a bit of help, there is nothing stopping you from achieving your goals! I am committed to not only assisting students in their study endeavors but also instilling a genuine interest in the unit content. It is extremely rewarding to watch a student gain confidence as they see their hard work pay off in their marks, but it is perhaps even more rewarding to watch them discover a passion through something they are learning at school.
