Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile!
My name is Meg and I’m a Biology (41), English (41), Psychology (42) and Media (43) tutor with a passion for learning. I have two years of experience tutoring students from Year 3 to Year 12, with great results. My aim as a tutor is to assist students in achieving above and beyond their goals whilst fostering good study habits and helping them enjoy the VCE experience.
I graduated from Brighton Secondary College as a member of the SEAL program with an ATAR of 96.5, and am currently in my second year studying a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Music at The University of Melbourne. I also undertake a breadth stream in Film. Throughout my high school and university studies I have developed a strong interest in Biological and Psychological Sciences, English and Media and would love to share these passions with my students.
I am enthusiastic, outgoing and passionate about people and learning. I aim to have
every student to leave my lessons with a smile on their face- feeling confident about what
they have learnt and their own abilities as a student.
I use a variety of different mediums including notes, videos and practical activities depending on the learning style of the student, and am capable to help challenge those students who would like extension, as well as assist students who are struggling with the subject.
I provide notes for each student as well as practice exams.
Location and Prices:
I am available for private and group tutoring Tuesday through to Sunday after 5pm, although this is flexible and other times can be arranged. I live in Black Rock, and am happy to teach in your home, at a local library, at the State Library or on the Melbourne University Campus. I provide email and phone support to my students and aim to answer all queries within 24 hours maximum.
I charge $50 an hour, or $30 per person for group sessions and an extra $10 travel cost for students over 30 minutes away.
I hold a valid Working With Children Check.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you through your final years as a high school student!
