ABOUT ME

Hi!

My name is Lily and I am 21 years old. I am currently studying an Honours degree at the Royal Childrens Hospital through Biomedicine at Melbourne University.

Since leaving school in 2016 I have tutored Year 12 and Year 8 French, Year 11 and 12 Chemistry alongside completing a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedicine at Melbourne University. My ATAR was 97.05 and my scores for French and Chemistry were 41 and 37, respectively. My other subjects were History Revolutions (39), English (41), Methods (35), Theatre Studies (44).

My father is French so I am a native French speaker, having been brought up in a bilingual education system. Thus, I have lots of experience with the native French accent and conversation. I have a particular interest in helping students for oral part of French (having received full marks for the Year 12 oral myself) and providing conversation sessions to improve students fluency, accent and comprehension. I am able to combine sessions to do half conversation and half grammar/written French to create a student that is well-rounded in the subject. For Chemistry, I adored it in high school and continued to study it in my Bachelor’s degree and thus can teach at a range of levels.

I can provide your child with:

  • clarity – I take complex ideas and simplify them for students by catering to their learning styles and needs
  • I am very empathetic, diligent and warm which fosters a caring and safe space for students to ask questions, feel respected and understand
  • passion – I bring a sense of fun, passion and laughter which often helps students enjoy the subject more and motivate them further
  • extra work to consolidate topics
  • online support and extra help with homework if required

I hold a Working with Children’s Check and a Fit2Work Check.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
