Greetings and salutations!
My name is Liam. I am currently a high school teacher at Marist College North Shore in North Sydney, teaching junior science and senior physics. I am qualified as well to teach all levels of mathematics. I have a Bachelor of Science from Sydney University (majors in Physics and Mathematics), and a Master of Applied Nuclear Science from the same university. I did my Graduate Diploma of Education through ACU in Strathfield.
I am able to tutor in junior science (Y7-10), the NSW HSC Physics course (Y11-12), and all levels of mathematics (Y7-12).
I am a firm believer in building a strong relationship with my students, which can help them to persevere in the hard work that is necessary for success. I also believe that a bit of fun never hurts either, and that knowledge should be gained for its own sake – there is, as Chesterton said, no such thing as an uninterested subject, but only an uninterested person.
MY LOCATION, COSTS AND AVAILABILITY!
I primarily work out of the Ryde area, and am happy to do in-home tuition for students living in the surrounding suburbs (out to Macquarie in the north, Eastwood to the west, Rhodes to the south, and Gladesville to the east). I am also available for remote tuition online.
My hourly rates for individual students are $70 for all junior subjects, and $80 for all senior subjects. Students whom I tutor in person at home who live outside the area listed above will have an additional $10 travel charge added to the rate.
My availability for tutoring is on Thursday afternoons (4-7pm) and on Saturdays (11am-4pm).
I hope to hear from you very soon.
