I’m Liam. I achieved a TER of 96.60 at Caulfield Grammar School in 2009. Since then, I’ve completed a Bachelor of Laws at Monash University and started my own business. I’ve been tutoring highschool and tertiary students since 2012.
I love English, history, theatre and humanities subjects. I also have experience teaching psychology, legal studies and business studies. I’m more than happy to tutor students from years 7-12 in any of these fields. I will learn the required curriculum if I don’t know it, and help you create a learning plan so we can progress together.
I know from my experience tutoring in the past that students do best when they learn to enjoy a subject. This has become a central goal in my tutoring method – I don’t want you to just understand it, I want you to be able to love demonstrating what you know! Some of the techniques I use to make any subject more enjoyable are teaching by analogy, making games with students and increasing or decreasing the difficulty of a subject to match a student’s needs.
I can provide a referral from a current student of mine if requested. I offer sessions online only, seven days a week. My preferred platform is Skype, but I can be flexible if you prefer another program. I offer a free first lesson for any new student in a subject of their choice, to ensure we work well together. Across a semester, I also provide notes for subjects and feedback sessions on assignments so that I can help a student get the most out of marking comments from teachers. It’d be my pleasure to assist with multiple subjects, if required.
I have a valid Working With Children Check.
