Hi guys! Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile.
I completed year 12 in 2014 at Saint Francis Xavier College with an ATAR of 98.75, including study scores of 43 in VCE Psychology, 44 in VCE Mathematical Methods, 47 in VCE Specialist Mathematics and VCE 50 in Business Management. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science at Monash University and intend to major in Applied Mathematics and Actuarial Studies. I have been a tutor with LearnMate for the last three years and would love to be given the opportunity to help you achieve your very best in VCE Psychology, VCE Mathematical Methods, VCE Specialist Mathematics or VCE Business Management!
Having recently completed year 12 I have an in-depth understanding of the curriculum for VCE Psychology, VCE Business Management, VCE Specialist Mathematics and VCE Mathematical Methods, as well as an understanding of the knowledge required for each separate SAC and exam. I have a passion for learning and believe that this passion comes across when I tutor. Combined with my friendly personality, this enables me to provide a positive environment in which students feel comfortable and motivated to succeed.
My top priority is ensuring that my students are confident when it comes time for them to complete SACs and exams, and this confidence is born through the right type of preparation- working smarter, not harder. Now, hard work is necessary, but far too many people spend hours and hours studying in ways that simply do not work for them. I work with my students to find the most efficient and effective way for them to study, with the ultimate goal of success when it comes time for SACs and exams.
I have a firm belief that in order to succeed in any subject students need to have a thorough understanding of the basic, underlying concepts on which more complex concepts are built. By applying this belief to my own studies, I found that complex concepts became much easier to understand. As a result of this, my tutoring style is based around first ensuring that the basics are understood, and then building knowledge and understanding from there. This approach ensures students remain motivated as they don’t find themselves suddenly unable to understand what’s going on.
