Thanks for clicking on my profile! My name is Judy and I completed my VCE in 2015 with an ATAR of 90.45 and am now offering tutoring services for English, in which I scored a raw 43. In 2017 I will be studying a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Secondary Education (Honours) double degree at Monash University, and I will be tutoring year 11 English. I’ve been tutoring VCE English since 2016, have familiarised myself with the new study design, and will be able to help with:
- Text Response
- Comparative text analysis
- Creative responses
- Language analysis
- Oral presentations
With completion of an English subject being compulsory in VCE, and mainstream English being the “go-to” option for most, I’ve found that a lot of students struggle with enjoying the subject and staying motivated throughout the year. My goal then is not only to help you develop the necessary skills for performing well in English, but also to help you develop confidence in your abilities and see how English can be an interesting, thought-provoking, and even enjoyable (!) subject.
Lastly, I know first-hand how difficult VCE can be, and am able and willing to assist in stress, time and task management. Studying smart is the way to go in VCE and I aim to help you develop the necessary skills to make it through this trying time!
Location, availability & cost:
I am located in Richmond and you are welcome to come to me, or I can come to you. I can also tutor in the CBD, at public libraries, or at Monash University (Clayton or Caulfield) should that be suitable to us both. I am flexible, so if you’re interested get in touch through LearnMate for more details and I will try my absolute best to fit you into my schedule!
I am charging only $42 per hour.
Thanks so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you and helping you succeed in VCE English!
