Hi there, Jonnie here. Firstly, I completed my schooling in 2010, in Victoria. I then went on to complete a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2014 at Deakin University. I entered the workplace immediately after graduating and begun a Master of Science in 2017 at RMIT, which I enrolled in part-time and am 1 paper off completing later this year. Finally, I have just begun a Master of Teaching (Middle & Secondary) at the University of Adelaide after relocating from Victoria earlier this year (pre-COVID). The course is an accelerated program that is squeezed into 12 months.
My teaching areas are Biology and General Sciences for both Middle and Secondary education, though I am comfortable covering health sciences and middle levels math.
I have just received my grade of 92% for my first thesis for my Master of Science. Thesis title – “The Technological Implications of Fourth Industrial Revolution: Education”. I am passionate about the future of education and the importance of new technologies to maximize students learning experience. It can be hard for a student to relate their learning material to the real world, this is where I highlight that the fundamentals taught throughout one’s schooling builds the foundation of critical thinking which is required in all facets of post-school life.
