First and foremost… Welcome! & Thank you so much for visiting my profile!
I am currently majoring in Psychology, and double majoring in International Relations at the University of Melbourne. Right now, I just started my fourth year, and I am also a student at Korea University!
I have always maintained an above 95% GPA for four consecutive years in my last years of high school – for all subjects (American curriculum based international school).
I received the Principal’s honour roll for graduation as being the student with the best grade in the graduation year, and am currently maintaining a 3.6 average for my University grades.
I have worked with tutoring children age 4-12, university students with building confidence in English Speaking, ESL, Reading.
I also tutored high school students Comprehension and Vocab studying for their SATs.
I worked for three years as a leader at a camp for elementary, high school students teaching them team building skills and cultural activities.
I volunteered at St. Vincent’s center to teach children English, and help them with extracurricular activities.
I served in Sunday school, with my class being 11 year old children.
I worked as staff and interpreter at business leadership forums in Korea.
I strongly believe that ‘knowing you can do well’ is directly related to actually ‘doing well’, and so would like to help students find a method of learning or studying that is unique and compatible to them. This will enable students to become independent learners, which will make an impact on their life-long journey of learning.
My key initiative is to build confidence in students who find trouble in learning, or feel as if they cannot handle the work. I think very strongly of a good rapport, and believe that learning is a socially engaging activity that requires far more than just textbooks and rules.
I have always been deemed as a favourable and fun person to be with! I am a huge people lover, who especially has a passion for children. I am an extremely chatty person, although during classes I will make you do most of the talking.
One of my best talents is drawing out the talents in other people, and helping them realise they are capable of so much more!
I have a very big, soft heart, and will make anyone feel welcome and wanted all the time.
And last but not least, the reason I am doing tutoring is because I have received so much love from my teachers while growing up, and so I would just like to give back the least I could 🙂
MY LOCATION, COSTS AND AVAILABILITY!
I currently stay in Melbourne Central, so anywhere around 5km from that area would be good!
I am available most of the time, and am most willing to make the effort to find a suitable time for you!
I charge $45 per hour for one-on-one tutoring (Groups of 2 and Skype lessons $35 per hour), but if you really want… little adjustments are possible 😉
Thanks again for your time,
and hope to hear from you soon!
