Hi there! I’m Jane and I believe that hard work, combined with the right kind of support, really does pay off.
I graduated in 2016 as the Dux at my high school with an ATAR of 99.95 – ranked 5th in WA.
I achieved the state’s top mark for the Maths Methods exam in 2016 (99.67%), receiving a Subject Exhibition Award from the state government.
In the past two years of working as a LearnMate tutor, I have taught over ten students at different year levels, including several successful VCE Maths Methods students.
I always strive to be a warm, approachable and attentive tutor who understands how to support the student in the most effective way.
I also hold a valid Working With Children’s Check.
Currently I study Medicine at the University of Melbourne.
*WHAT I OFFER*
I offer tutoring for VCE Maths Methods and Maths/Science for years 8-10.
Aside from practice questions and past exams, I also provide priceless study notes, summaries of ‘frequently missed marks’, CAS calculator tricks… all of which I have collected and refined over the years.
The importance of getting the basics right and developing efficient study strategies can never be over-emphasised!
My ultimate goal is to help you boost your confidence, which is precisely what enables you to reach a level higher than your aim.
*AVAILABILITY, LOCATION & COST*
I’m available on Saturday & Sunday (10am-6pm) with email and text support 7 days a week.
I prefer tutoring at the State Library, RMIT or University of Melbourne libraries (all near Melbourne Central station).
I charge $60 per hour for VCE Methods tutoring, and $50 per hour for Years 8-10 tutoring. I’m confident you will find my lessons and resources worth it!
