Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile.
I graduated in 2014 with an ATAR of 96.15 and study scores of 45 in English and 43 in History: Revolutions, and am eager to pass my knowledge on to other VCE students. I know that the content in VCE can often become dry, which is why I aim to reignite a sense of enthusiasm in students by teaching in an engaging and fun, yet studious manner.
I am extremely passionate about English and History, which I believe creates an increasingly beneficial tutoring experience for students. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University, and have pursued both English and History within this degree. These are subjects which I love to learn, and am excited to teach. My passion, energy and drive to succeed are things which I aim to relay to students, in order to help them in achieving their maximum potential in VCE.
I am familiar with the curriculum for VCE English, Units 1/2 and 3/4, as well as Units 3/4 of History: Revolutions. I am skilled in many areas, including the following:
- SAC Preparation
- Essay writing and planning
- Language Analysis
- Context (Whose Reality and Conflict primarily)
- Text Response
I am also able to provide detailed notes on this content, and my chosen texts in VCE (Gwen Harwood’s Selected Poems and Wag the Dog), as well as many others.
- American and French Revolutions
- SAC Preparation
- How to respond to different questions
- Structuring Responses
- Planning and Writing the Essay section
- Analysing Sources
- Using Historians
I am able to provide in depth notes, including historiography, for both the American and French Revolutions.
I am contactable by email 7 days a week, and will usually get back to you within 24 hours, so I am available if you should have any questions throughout the week. All notes provided are free, and I will usually be able to provide both digital and hard copies.
