Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to learn about me.
ABOUT ME & QUALIFICATIONS
I graduated in 2016 with an ATAR of 96.45. I have a passion for arts subjects, achieving 45 raw in English, 42 raw in English Language (44.5 scaled) and 41 raw in Drama and thoroughly enjoying the content and challenges presented in each of these subjects. I also love teaching others, as I have informally tutored many of my classmates during Year 12 as well as tutoring younger high school students in mathematics for the past year. However I’m not all work oriented, as I believe it is important to balance learning and enjoyment, both in VCE and in tutoring. Other interests of mine include basketball, karate, horse riding, and writing.
In tutoring, I believe that each student requires a different approach to their education, in order to account for individual personalities, learning styles, strengths and weaknesses. I endeavour to tailor my tutoring sessions and style to suit my students, as well as to provide a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of the subject.

COSTS, LOCATION & AVAILABILITY
My availability is currently very flexible and I am happy to accommodate your schedule – my availability will be more limited once I start university. I also have a valid working with children’s check and am willing to travel; I live in Tecoma, near Belgrave, and am happy to meet at the local library (Belgrave, Ferntree Gully). I am also happy to travel to the Box Hill area and Box Hill library, or to travel to your house if you are close to public transport.
I only charge $35 for an hour session, which can include help with class work or homework, discussion and analysis of specific questions including SAC/exam preparation and explanation of key concepts. Each lesson is tailored specifically to the student’s needs, and I believe in maintaining a dialogue with the student in order to ensure that we are addressing their areas requiring improvement and building on information taught at school. I am friendly and easy to get along with, and like to convey my own enjoyment to my students! With me, you will feel comfortable and I will do my utmost to help you achieve your goals.
