About Chris

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to check out my profile,

I’m Chris and I am currently finishing my 2nd year of a double degree of Aerospace Engineering and Business Management at RMIT University. During this time, I have upheld a GPA on 3.3 and had assessments judged on a state-wide scale.

My Qualifications

I graduated from the Australian Capital Territory’s BSSS system in 2014 with an ATAR of 96.30. During this time, I received a scaled score of 44 in physics and 45 in Specialist Mathematics, which I took a double major in during high school. During this time, I also received a Gold Level Duke of Edinburgh Award which demonstrates my strive for self-improvement, team work and drive to help others.

I decided to pursue tutoring to use my skills to better others. Teaching students requires not simply helping them memorise the content but also help them understand this. Generating an understanding of the material improves critical analysis and long term learning, as it allows for the student to apply what they’ve learnt to later subjects and to life in general.

In mathematics, my high school and university education means I am well versed in the following:

Calculus (Both derivation and integration)

This includes Fourier and Laplace Transforms

Complex Numbers

Probability and Statistics

Numerical Series

As an aerospace engineering student, physics is a critical competency that I have and would like to generate an understanding for in other. This includes the following topics:

Newtonian Mechanics

Material Mechanics

Charge and Energy

Complex Motion and Waves

Static and Kinematic Dynamics

In regards to communication, I am available for face-to-face sessions as well as phone, email and skype based lessons. I am also available by phone an email to answer any question you have.

I currently live in the CBD and am available to travel within 1 hour of public transport from the city or can meet at a set location within the city as it suits you. I am available from Monday to Thursday and am available on the weekends.

I also hold a valid Working with Children’s Check.

I charge $40 an hour with the first hour of the first session free of charge. Contact me when you can and I will do my best to guide you towards your best potential.
