Completing the IB was no easy task. I was really lucky to have a great set of teachers and tutors that helped me through my journey. They gave me small tricks and tips that let me master the nuances of IB to score well. Having put these lessons into action and seen their fruitful results, I intend on sharing this guidance with my students to maximise their success in the IB and set them in good stead to reach their goals.

As an alumni tutor at school, in my community and on many other online platforms, I shall be covering core content for the IB (inner core subjects, internal and external assessment as well), core content in HSC and QCE Mathematics.

Rather than just sharing common study techniques and rehashing what was already taught in school, I will help you understand difficult topics, organise your work and pinpoint areas that are important and pivotal in understanding the overall topic. I shall strive to deliver content in a personalised way to ensure maximum understanding in an interactive environment so that it aligns with your learning at school.

The lessons will also include techniques to increase the effectiveness of your responses in exam-condition by working on strong essay writing techniques (structure, language etc.) as well as familiarisation with question types across the papers. In terms of guidance on internal assessments, we shall breakdown high-scoring exemplar IAs and presentations to meet the set rubric. Around key due dates, I will provide constructive feedback and conferencing based on what was provided by teachers at school to elevate the quality of your work. We shall work towards improving your performance gradually to ensure you are at your very best to achieve 7’s when exams come around.

Graduating from the IB and having first-hand experience of rollercoaster of a journey it is and the importance of time management of the workload, I am aware of the challenges and expectations we place on ourself to achieve high marks. Implementing the right strategies and seeking guidance at the right time from an experienced student can take you a long way towards starting your tertiary study in the degree and institute of your dreams.

I also look forward to helping junior students in Years 7-10 or students applying into the US with the guidance and help they would need to succeed in what is a very competitive pool of applicants.

I look forward to working with you to help you reach your tertiary study and career goals.
