About Aericka

ABOUT ME!

Hey there, thanks for looking into my profile.

Throughout Year 12 (which, for me, was 2018) I partied (don’t worry, I did so responsibly), kept up with extra-curricular activities (including inter-school sports) and even went overseas for 10 Days in July.

Despite this, I had completed VCE with over 40 study scores in all of my subjects and an ATAR score of 96.45.

My study scores are as follows: Literature (40), Media (46), Further Mathematics (42), History:Revolutions (42), Business Management (42) and Legal Studies (41).

I always insist that my VCE successes had not been due to my being naturally ‘smart’ (because honestly, I’m far from it), but rather my own hard work and dedication, in addition to the incredible support I had received throughout the year.

WHAT I OFFER

To those that I tutor I promise to go above and beyond to put together a personalised program and set of additional resources based on individual need and aspiration. Not only will this consist of comprehensive notes of subject content, but also resources aimed at enhancing writing quality, which is (in my opinion) key to success in SACs and Exams.

Based on the individual student, I am more than willing to create and incorporate different learning methods and activities (for example, flash cards, quizzes, or practice questions).

Although this may seem a bit ‘fluffy’ or ‘cheesy’, I hope to make the learning experience enjoyable, because having fun (or just appreciating your studies) actually makes learning and studying so much easier.

It is also important to note that in Year 12, I had been my school’s Achievement Leader and had worked closely with teachers to enforce High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS). Thus, I have a sound understanding of such strategies and will be sure to apply these into my lessons.

MY LOCATION, COSTS AND AVAILABILITY!

I am Western-Suburbs (Point Cook area in particular) based, but am willing to tutor students in libraries of the CBD or Melbourne University.

For individual tutoring, I charge $35 per hour and $27 for group tutoring per hour and per student. Additional resources will not incur an additional charge, nor will travel expenses.

Please note, that group tutoring is recommended – not only is it cheaper, but collaborative learning is, in my opinion, highly effective.

In regards to availability, weeknight evenings are most ideal, but I am willing to be flexible. Should it be required, I am willing to negotiate a time suited to both parties.

Thank you very much for taking the time to engage with my profile. I hope to hear from you soon 🙂
