Hi! My name is Abby and I’m currently in my third year at Adelaide Uni studying a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)/Bachelor of Arts (English & Psychology). I graduated school in 2016 with an ATAR of 99.4 and would love to help students to achieve results they can be proud of too.
The subjects I’d like to tutor are: English, Classics/Ancient Studies, Psychology and Research Project. In English and Classics I received an A+ with merit, in Research Project I got an A+ and in Psychology an A. I know that the idea of achieving high grades at school can be pretty daunting, but with help and a little bit of hard work you can get a grade you’re happy with!
I am very patient and understanding when it comes to tutoring, and will do my best to help students to achieve the results they’d like for whichever post-school pathway they want to explore. I’ll find which learning styles and content interests each student most and use this to not only help them succeed, but also learn to enjoy the subjects. I’m very positive and focused on encouragement and improvement, and would like the opportunity to share some of the tips I learnt at school. I know from experience that not everyone enjoys school and that it can get quite frustrating at times, so I’d like to help make the time a little easier!
MY LOCATION, COSTS AND AVAILABILITY!
I am available all day on Mondays for in-person tutoring and on Wednesdays from 4pm-9pm.
I can tutor in Hallett Cove public library and Woodcroft public library, or can travel to houses within the general Hallett Cove/Morphett Vale area if that is preferable.
I’m available everyday for email support, and can schedule phone/skype calls if they’re wanted. I also draft assignments and have plenty of experience doing so.
I charge $40 an hour for individual lessons, or $30 each for group lessons. I only charge $20 for an essay draft, and you can send me as many different drafts of that essay you’d like and just pay once. I’m also happy to do short or long lessons depending on what you need. I don’t charge for travel as long as its within the suburbs listed before.
I hope that you’ll consider me to be your tutor and, if not, good luck with the rest of school and I hope you find a tutor that suits you! 🙂
